Should I Be Worried About The Side Effects Of Oncotrex?
Diagnosed with seronegative spondyloarthropathy...since four years ..now age 21... I have been taking saaz 500 mg as chief medicine with deevit .25 and calcium pankillers..but nowadays...I have sever back and hip bone pain and have to take painkiller daily....I have been taking it for long time.....from now doctor prescribe ...oncotrex 10mg with olic along with deevit, decal, evozol. Now I know the possible side effect of this drug soi am worried ..
Oncotrex 10 (Methotrexate) is a well-tolerated drug and a disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug(DMARD).
Potential side effects are many but mainly are Leukopenia; bone marrow depression; thrombocytopenia; anaemia; hypogammaglobulinemia; haemorrhage; septicemia. HEPA: Hepatotoxicity.
They are rare but requires periodic monitoring of CBC & Liver function tests.
