Should I Be Worried Of Bleeding In 32nd Week Of Pregnancy?

Hi,
I have a low lying placenta, I am 32 weeks pregnant . I have bled 3 times with some clots since my doctors last appointment 2 weeks ago. I have had a very heavy bleed at 25 weeks for which I was hospitalized , but the bleeding in the last 2 weeks was not as heavy as that at 25 weeks.
I can still feel my baby kick. Should I have rushed off to the hospital for monitoring considering I will see my doctor tomorrow ? I am a bit worried.
Thank you.
April.

Hi and welcome to health care magic.

If you are having repeated bleeding episodes it is best to stay hospitalized for monitoring. It is extremely difficult to predict when bleeding will occur and how severe it will be and even house hold chores can precipitate bleeding.
If you are able to make 2 more weeks it will be extremely beneficial for the baby as its lungs begin to get mature and it has a better prognosis even if delivered after 34 weeks of pregnancy. So just be cautious for these 2 weeks. Do not do any work, take bed rest, if you are taking drugs to relax the uterus take them diligently. Do not sit or stand for prolonged periods, do not lift weights. All of these help preventing bleeding.

You seem to be having intermittent bleed during the last two weeks and have had some clots. If it is possible to rush you within minutes to the emergency facility you may wait until tomorrow provided there is no bleeding now.
If I were your treating physician I would have preferred a hospitalization rather than home care for a patient that is bleeding twice a week.
I understand your condition and wish the best for you.

Hope I was helpful.
