Should I Be Worried Of Scan Result?

i am a 41 years old woman. i have been suffering from heavy bleeding since the month of may except few days gap.my USG report says that i have an anechoic ovarian cyst and myometrium is diffusely thickened and inhomogenous.is this bad for my health?please help me out.i have a daughter of 15 years.

Thanks for writing in.

The anechoic cyst in ovary is nothing to worry. The heavy bleeding might be due to dysfunctional uterine bleeding or as a result of adenomyosis and this needs to be confirmed clinically. If you are past your reproductive age group then a surgical treatment may be best suited for you.
