Should I Go To Treatment Center Or Detox Myself To Get Off Of Mucinex?

I was taking four to six 1200mg tablets of Mucinex dm recreationally every other day back in November for probably the whole month. One time I took six of the 1200 mg at night an stayed up all night then took six more the next morning. The last time I took them I took six 1200mg one a Wednesday and six1200mg the next day. It's been about a month since I've taken any Mucinex and I feel horrible. I've been drinking a lot of water trying to clean my system out, but am now experiencing strange symptoms now. I feel confused, cloudy minded, malaise, and I am lethargic .i don't know what to do. Do I go to treatment center for help or can I just continue to detox and withdrawl safely by myself?

Hi,

You have been abstinent for a month and these symptoms are relatively more recent in origin. They may not be related to Mucinex at all. I would suggest that you consult a doctor and get some blood tests done, especially serum electrolyte levels.

Best wishes.
