Hi & Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concern.
Avoid taking Medrol, since it can also cause stomach problems and other side effects.
Medrol (Methylprednisolone) is a corticosteroid used to treat various conditions such as
arthritis, severe allergic reactions, certain cancers, eye conditions, skin/kidney/intestinal/lung diseases, &
autoimmune disorders.
Its most common side effects include stomach related problems such as
heartburn,
stomach ulcer, bleeding, & appetite changes, weight gain & increased blood pressure, increased blood sugar, thinning of the bones (
osteoporosis), cataract, lower your ability to fight infections which may result in opportunistic infections.
Since you are taking medications for your high BP and also suffering from stomach problems, you should not take Medrol for your painful shoulder.
Consult your orthopedic surgeon for an alternate effective and a safer medication like opioids (Tramadol) for the painful shoulder.
Hope this will help you.
