Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my total cholesterol is 155 , HDL 51 , Triglycerides 81. & LDL is 88. I'm currently on a generic of Liptor and these new numbers currently show that the meds, weight loss and walking have helped. Should more improvements be forthcoming and should I try and get the numbers a bit lower? Thank you
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.I understand your query. Brief answer:No. Detailed answer:Your lipid profile test report has come back to ideal limit with your medication and lifestyle changes. If i am your physician, would advise you to continue the same except to stop lipitor drug and there is no need for further improvement if you don't have history of coronary artery disease.Hope i have answered your query. If any further questions, happy to answer you.Take care.

well as per your lipid profile is concerned, it is quite normal, not even borderline as per as the recommendations are concerned.... so dont worry... just continue with the regime you are following currently.....
