I am 5 weeks pregnant now... during the second or third week of pregnancy, I had a dental appointment and was prescribed to take a dental Xray and also metrogyl 400 tabs. Later on I realized I am pregnant. One of the doctors advised me to abort it because of the xray and the tablets. What do I do?
However the level of safety depends on the type of X-ray you need and exactly how much radiation you are going to be exposed to.
Most diagnostic X-rays do not expose the fetus to high levels of radiation to cause a problem. Although, remember one thing that greater your exposure is to radiation, the greater the risk could be to your baby.
So do not worry at all. Go for the regular check-up to your doctor.
All the best. Take care.
