Skin Tanned, Sun Burn All Over Body. What Do I Do?
I went to the beach on friday and layed out for 2 hours. I put 50 spf on twice and still managed to get incredibly burnt (veryyy splotchy). My sunburn has subsided but now the tops of my feet , left side of both shins, ans left side of my nose are bruised. It looks like ive been pushed down a flight of stairs. What is it and what do i do?
Ideally sunscreen should be reapplied every 3-4 hourly for optimum efficacy.
Now, you can apply a mild topical steroid on the affected areas like Hydrocortisone for 5-7 days.
A medicated moisturizer should be applied multiple time throughout the day to keep the area hydrated. If you have any itching , you can have anti histamine tablets.Remember to continue to use the sunscreen even when indoors.
Hope this is helpful,Take care!
