Sleeplessness. Breast Benign Calcification. Taking Ashwagandha. Any Ayurvedic Or Home Remedy To Get Sleep?
Dr I am sixty two years old, for the past two years I am taking homeo for brqst benign calcification, first it was paining, now the pain gone, but I am not getting sleep. I want an Ayurvedic or home tips to give my sleep back, please help me dr, no other complaints, now I am taking ashwagandha half spoon at night dr, please help me, I dont want to go for sleeping pills that's why dr.

The insomnia you are facing can be cured with home remedies or with medicines. As home remedy get massage of your scalp and feet with sesame oil. Application of rogan khashkhash in temporal region while going to bed also induces sleep. Feel fresh and donot carry the worry at night that you might not get sleep. There is a procedure called dhara or shiro dhara in which medicated oil is dropped over your forehead and you get cure. Amongst medicines you can try cap. strescom

1. as he is suffering from BP and diabetes also,make sure they are within normal limits, as high blood sugar and blood pressure also contribute to altered sensorium like state.
2. regarding Dementia, he has to be evaluated for Neurological examination for "Tests of Memory" .
3. your doctor might ask for relevant lab investigations (Vitamin B12,niacin deficiency,thyroid profile, along with CT-Head for any AD, multi infarct dementia,NPH, or for any malignancy.
4. because there is memory loss, In Ayurveda we treat on the lines of "Apasmaar" i.e.:
. mahakalyan ghrita 12gm before food with hot water (in divided doses)
. mansmitra vatkam 1 tab at bed time.
. smriti sagar ras 250 mg
brahmi vati 250 mg
vacha churna 500mg twice a day with honey.
5. Avoid heavy-slimy-incompatibile food,alcohol, excess mental stress/ grief/ sorrow, anger, long night wakings.
