Slipped Feet A Week Ago, Have Lower Back Pain, Dull Ache On Walking. Alarming?
My feet slipped out from under me, a week ago. I have no pain while sitting or lying down. My lower back hurts when I bend over, stand from sitting or squatting. I have a dull ache when I walk. There is no visible bruising and it seems to be a little better. Should I be concerned. I am 56. I fell on a slab of slanted shale on the seashore.
Hi
It is likely that an inter-vertebral disc had been insulted. They are the buffers between the bone pieces - in the middle of our back, from head to low back. Rest and/or over the Counter (OTC) medication - Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) – like ibuprofen, may help.
If there is no improvement in another week, you ought to see an orthopaedic (bone)specialist. If the pain increases or it shoots down the thigh or leg to the toes, you have to see sooner.
As it is, it looks simple and in another week, you will be well...
Take care
Good luck
