Small Bump On Penis With Some Scarring Tissue Around It. Neosprin Seems Effective. What Could This Be?
I have a small flesh colored bump on the shaft of my penis that has brown scarring tissue surrounding it that seems to be slightly "cracked." I have had that bump there for about a year now, it has not spread or grown and i am currently asymptomatic and have been ever since i noticed it. I havent been sexually active in over 2 years and there is no redness or swelling surrounding the lump. I have tried neosporin on and around the site this passed week and it seems to have "smoothed out" more and there isnt as rough an appearance as there was, than you for taking the time to read this, i hope you can shed some light.
Hi, You seem to have encountered a sexually transmitted disease (STD) probably from one off instance of unprotected sexual intercourse. Your description matches the clinical manifestation of disease named syphilis caused by a bacteria. Its a chronic disease with protracted course. Though you are asymptomatic at present but indolent syphilis infection remains a potential health hazard. Hence my advice is consult your doctor, get tested for all STD prevalent in your region including syphilis followed by course of antibiotic of penicillin group like injection penicillin or cephalosporines & you should be good in no time. Lastly if possible, refrain from promiscuity & unprotected intercourse. Regards
