Hi, Thank you for your query. I presume NUKLAST contains the salt monteleukast, which is used for treatment of asthma and allergic rhinitis. I would refrain from giving this medicine to an infant till there is evidence of allergy to an item which cannot be avoided from the infant s environment. A simple saline nasal drop would have helped to clear the blocked nose. Secondly continuous use of nasal medication can also lead to nasal discharge which is known as rhinitis medicamentosa.
