Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Nose picking is the commonest cause of nasal bleeding in this age group.

So first we will have to rule out that as a cause of your child's nose bleed.

So if that cause is rule out a local examination and blood pressure recording is required. Your doctor will do certain investigations including a platelet count etc to rule out other causes of nose bleeding.

Hope this helps.
Take care.

Hi
Thanks for your query.
Causes of recurrent nose bleeds are;
-nose picking
-infection
-trauma
-foreign body
-bleeding disorder.

I suggest you to get her examined for proper management.
In the meantime apply ice compresses over nose at time of bleeding.
Pinch nose for 5 minutes.
put liquid paraffin drops.

Wishing your child good health.
God bless
