Soft Penis Erection. Normal Blood Tests. Having Spinal Stenosis. Is This Affecting My Sex Life? Treatment?

Hi Doctor,

I was diagnosed with severe central canal stenosis at L3-L4 and moderate stenosis with L2-L3 five years ago. I am only 38 years, married 7 years ago and have two kids. Last six months I am experiencing soft penis erection. I went and saw a GP and did a blood test. Everything including hormone was good. My worry is whether my spinal stenosis is playing up with my sex life. I don’t have pain in my legs or back. If spinal stenosis is the case, then what’s the option to improve my sex life? Will fusion surgery improve this?

Hello
Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have problem of secondary ejaculation.
You have proved lumbar canal stenosis .However you do not have any neurological symptoms due to stenosis.
In view of this your problem of secondary ejaculation seems to be due performance anxiety.
Following measure will help you to boost up your confidence and getting good erection.and delay ejaculation.
1) Practice regular exercise for 45 minutes followed by meditation for 1/2 an hour in the morning.
2) Take high protein diet rich in vegetables and fruits and Vitamin A,C,D,E.and Zinc
3)Take anti oxidants like Almonds 5-6 everyday..
4) Avoid alcohol and smoking.
Please consult qualified urologist for clinical assessment and further treatment.
He may advise you to take Sildenafil to get hard erection.
