Sore Throat With Chest Congestion, Is It Just A Cold ?
I currently have a sore throat and what feels like chest congestion . I have been taking tussen and a generic of mucinex and it only helps for a short while. I have also been coughing up phlegm in the mornings that has a dark brown color to it. it hurts to swallow, feels tender when I talk and I feel pressure on my chest when I breath. Could I possibly have more than just a cold?

Dear thanks for the query,you can have bronchitis,means infection of respiratory tract and yes it is more then cold.Please visit your doctor and get treated for the same.In mean time avoid cold drinks,heavy and fried foods and take proper rest.But do see your doctor.take care.
