It is perfectly fine to use pain killers for mild to moderate body pains. However, the pain and the sores should not last long. If they are persistent despite taking medication, you need to consult an orthopedician. These pains could be due to sprain or strain. Since, you are physically active there is a possibility of stretching and/ or pulling muscle or ligament.
Taking medications over a long period of time can be harmful.
