Soreness In Inner Elbow, Soft Lump. What Do I Need To Do?

I am a rural mail carrier and repetitive use of my arms and hands are a must. I woke up about 2the weeks ago with a extremely sore inner elbow . I have been working with the pain and it is not always hurting while working, but if I rest it, the inner elbow becomes stiff and sore. I have also noticed a soft lump where the bicep meets the crease. What do I need to do?

Thanks for writing to us.

Without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of the lump. Possibilities that may need to be considered include lipomas, cysts, growths from underlying connective tissue etc.

I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. may get the X-ray of the area affected and FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology) of lump under his/her guidance.
