Spitting Blood, Heaviness In Chest. Suggestions?

Hi,

Today morning when I got up was spitting fresh red color blood. I coughed for a while just to see if its coming from my chest or may be dry nose or throat and after few spits it was clear. Also I had recently joint gym and swimming (once a week). In gym 1.5 weeks back while doing bench press rod hit my chest but it didn't hurt much. But today I am feeling little heaviness in my chest.

Should I wait till tomorrow morning to check if same happens and then call for appointment what do you suggest.

thanks!!!

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The blood along with the spit can be related to a chest infection. This could have happened after the swimming episode as you have described. If it is recurrent then do get a chest X-ray done,.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
