Vomiting blood or haemetemesis is a regurgitation of blood from the upper gastrointestinal tract, which includes the mouth, throat, esophagus, stomach, and small intestine. Vomiting of blood results after there is upper gastrointestinal bleeding.Chronic alcoholism being considered as one of the important cause of this upper GI bleed in this modern world.yes you can visit your ENT surgeon as per the appointment, most probably he may refer you to a Gastroenterologist.in the mean time, cut off your alcohiol consumption.if you notice bouts of haemetemesis/increased blood spitting day by day,you need an urgent treatment with the Gastroenterologist.
