Stabbing Pain In Midpoint Of Back To Right Side Increased With Sudden Or Quick Movements, Numbness In Hand. Reason?
Hi,
In the midpoint of my back to the right, I have a stabbing pain. It occurs only if I move a certain way or stand. if I move too quickly or go down stairs, that stabbing pain becomes brutal. I also have numbness in my right hand. The pain is suddent and then decreases. It is not constant and I am never sure when it will occur.
right at the centre is the spinal cord. and it is a very important part of the body as it contains all the nerves supplied to our body. in your case you might want to start up with an MRI scan so just to note whether your spinal cord is fine or is getting compressed anywhere? as your symtoms does give that hint. a physical examination is a must. revert back with the report. hope it helps.
Hi, it appears to be due to the cervical spondylosis, due to pressure on the nerves coming from the cervical spine to the back and hand. I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have M.R.I. for diagnosis. Thank you.
