Staph Infection Under Eyelid Turning Purplish. What Does It Mean ?

Hi, I have a staph infection under my eyelid and it had been puffy and red the past few days. I am on prescription eye drops and antibiotic pills. Starting today the infection started to turn purplish around right where the infection is located. What does this mean??

Hello
Staph infection turning purplish indicates hemorrhage under the eyelid skin or probably spread of infection resulting in preseptal orbital cellulitis.
Hence this requires more aggressive management , hence I advice you to consultyour doctor for ffurther evaluation and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
