Stiffness And Pain In Joints Following Chikunguniya. Homeopathy Offering No Relief. Tested Negative For Arthritis. Diabetic. Treatment?
I am aged 62 years and got chikengunya nearly 3 years back and took allopathy treatment. But, joint pains still existing. I am not in a position to bend my hand fingers and stiffness in wrists and right feet. Eventhough I am taking medicines from Homeopathy Doctor, there is no relief. I have got spondylitis also. The blood reports show that there is no artharitis. I am a diabetic and using Insulin and is under control. Please advise me Sir.
Generally, pains arising in the joints due to Chikungunya are self limiting and will not persist for more than 2-3 months. They usually resolve spontaneously. So, I personally don't think that your pains in the joints are related to your past illness.
There are many causes and conditions that affect the small joints of the hands and feet. A detailed clinical examination followed by appropriate biochemical investigations are needed to establish a correct diagnosis of your problem.
