Stomach Pain And Frequent Stools After A Weeks Intake Of Livolin Forte And Liverprime In A Hepatitis B And Diabetic Patient?

Hi doctor. My father diagnosed with hepatitis b and elevated blood sugar. 10 years ago he was diagnosed of having type II dm. Now, he is under medication of livolin forte and liverprime. For almost a week of drinking the meds he is now complaining of stomach pain and frequent stool? But the the stool exam shows normal results. Is this side of effects of the drugs?

Hi. First of all both these supplement medicines can cause diarrhea. IF the stool examination is normal in case of diarrhea, I would advise to stop both the medicines. In addition the liverprime when given in a diabetic patient needs the continuous monitoring of the blood sugar.
Stop both the medicines immediately and see your treating Doctor and discuss.
What are his Liver function levels and symptoms ?
