Stomach Pain, Leg Pain On Walking Up Stairs, Lethargy. History Of Swine Flu. Causes For Symptoms?

My seven year old son is tearful, complains of tummy aches, clingy, and doesn t eat much. He had swine flu last year and I wonder if he has a lingering virus. He says his legs hurt if he walks upstairs and he cries if he has to go swimming, etc, though he enjoys it when he is there according to his dad. Ive had his bloods and his thyroid checked and he has an ENT referral next month. I heard from the school today that he often feels unwell at school and is lethargic. What can i do?

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

There could be various causes for such tiredness. Nutritional deficiencies and various other causes can cause anemia resulting in tiredness. Various systemic illness should be ruled out. What do those blood reports say. Are they within normal limits?
