Sudden Appearance Of Hard Knot On The Wrist, No Instance Of Injury. Could This Be Bone Spur?

Hi my name is Jessica I am 30 yrs old and recently discovered a new hard knot on my right wrist . It wasn t there yesterday. It sits directly above the line of where my wrist and hand meet and it follows my thumb angle. Is it just a bone spur? I have not had any old or new injuries but I am right handed and take a lot if notes for school. Could this be the cause of the possible bone spur?
