hello dr, i m dentist wanna confirm .... i m suferring from pansinusitis with mucosal hypertrophy . in left maxillary sinus , dere is mild mucosal hypertrophy and retained secretions in its inferiro part. spheoid sinus is also opacified on right side. bilateral ethmoid air cells are also showing almost complete oacification and there is attenuation of ethmoid trabulacae on left side. nasal septum is deviated towards left side

pansinusitis refers to inflammation of all four sets of sinuses inhead- maxillary sinus, behind the cheek; frontal sinus- in forehead; ethmoid sinuses and sphenoid sinuses.
Due to inflammation there is swelling of the lining mucosa due to congestion which leads to hypertrophy.
the swelling of mucosa near the ostia ie opening of the sinuses causes retention o secretions. These secretions are secreted by the mucus glands in the sinus lining.
