Initial treatment would consist of neuropathic pain medications such as pregabalin or gabapentin, and physiotherapy. Only a minority would not improve with these, who would require epidural injections and surgery.

Suffer Stenosis, Disc Disease, Pain And Numbness In Right Thigh, Disabled. Diagnosis ?
Hi, Thank you for posting your query. I can understand your discomfort on account of pain and numbness, and lack of any firm treatment plan. You need to consult a neurologist or neurosurgeon for treatment and evaluation. Initial treatment would consist of neuropathic pain medications such as pregabalin or gabapentin, and physiotherapy. Only a minority would not improve with these, who would require epidural injections and surgery. Best wishes, Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
