Suffered A Medial Tibial Plateau Fracture From An Accident. On Physiotherapy After Surgery. What Is The Recovery Period?
Hi I met with a bike accident and had medial tibial plateau fracture . Its been 8 weeks post surgery and now am on full weight bearing. Am doing extensive physio therapy and now am walking with limp. Issues am facing are: when I walk on uneven surfaces am getting irritation around my knee , is it normal? and how much time its required for me to walk normal without any pain around my knee.
Dear arun . hsp
your main concerns are , post op medial tibial fracture 8 weeks old and you are doing weight bearing.
You hav to see certain issues, nature of fracture( see no of pieces) , stability of fixation, speed of bone union, any surgical deformity, state of infection, and damage to medial condylar articular surface and status of Intra articular injuries may be or may not be . Are walking with stick or without stick
with out any check X ray i can advise to check above aspects
you should consult your surgeon who hav operated you
Dr Niraj Garg
