Suffered Severe Heat Exhaustion, After Effects Are Short Breath, Chest Discomfort, Profuse Sweating.Your Thoughts?

My Partner suffered a severe heat exhaustion a year and passed out while on the job. First responders said that she was not breathing upon their arrival. Now, every time she does anything outside or exherts any energy she becomes short of breath, has chest discomfort and sweats profusely with her skin feeling ice cold - what are your thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thanks for writing in at HCM
AS per you it seems to a Coronary artery disease but need not to forget Hypoglycemia and respiratory tract disease? Before getting to diagnosis I like to know: Age, Height, Weight, Family history of heart disease, Lipid profile level, about smoking and alcohol and frequency of exercise? Because these all are the risk factors for Coronary heart disease. Please consult your doctor and do your EKG, Treadmill test (TMT) if possible and Echocardiography. If all these test indicates than go for Coronary Angiography which 100% surety test for Coronary heart disease.
Hope you have got your answer
Best Wishes
