Suffering Form Panic And Anxiety Attacks. Taking Medication, No Results. Recommendations?
yes i am not understanding why my medications are not helping me with my panic and anxiety attacks. And they definitely are not working in a fast manner. Not to mention that my shoulders and neck are always so tense. I am taking Librium 25 mg,TWICE a day, also Buspirone 15 mg tablets THREE times a day and Prozac 60mg a day. I dont understand why I still feel so much tension and still have my attacks. Maybe not as bad as before my medications but its still bad enough for me to deal with dailly. Ive had these problems about 8 years now.
I understand your concerns. Having to suffer from panic and anxiety attacks can be a terrible issue. I do not usually use buspirone much in my practice as the response rate from this medication for anxiety as severe as yours is very poor. I also think that a switch from librium to a different medication that is longer acting would be what I would advise my patients. However you may want to contact your provider for mental health services or a different qualified psychiatrist for a second opinion. I wish you all the very best.
Take care and have a lovely day!
