Suffering From Acne And Zits Before Periods. What Is The Cure?
Hi,
I am 24 yr old female. I m suffering from acne from last 8 months now. Though i had acne problems since teenage but from last 4-5 years it was cured. Since last 8 monts i m getting zits before my periods n they leave ugly scars behind which last for months. Currently i m taking Isotretinon and applying benzoyl peroxide in the morning and clidamycin at night for scars.
Please help as i fail to understand even after taking so many precautions acnes are recurring every month.

You are having acne repeatedly and zits around also present.
No doubt you are taking tretinoin and benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin ,but this treatment is only for acne .
Not for cause of acne .
In my opinion first to rule out the cause of acne .
1 In your case may be Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease ( pcod), as this is thew most common cause of acne in young female ( child bearing).Diagnosis can be confirmed ultrasound of both ovaries .
2 Hormonal imbalance nay be the next reason . Diagnosis can be confirmed by assessment of estrogen , andogen fsh/lh ratio.
3 acne rosacea may be the next reason , diagnosis can be confirmed by examination by a dermatologist .
In my opinion first of all consult a gynecologist and get his opinion.
