Suffering From Addisons Disease, Gastric Reflux. Had Lansoprazole. How This Can Be Resolved?
I have addisons disease for over 20 years and for a few months I have had gastric reflux and I am on 60mg of lansoprazole from my gp. He has said that if my symptoms persist (they have been very severe) I will have to see my consultant to see how this can be resolved. Is there a possibility that I may need permanent injections of hydrocortisone
It is well documented that the steroid therapy causes gastritis by gastric irritation. If unattend to the gastritis any progress to gastric ulcer. If the symptoms are not improving with Proton pump inhibitors the sucrafil preparations can be tried.
Better to undergo an endoscopy for evaluation if the symptoms are not improving.
