Suffering From Anxiety. Tried Different Medications, Hair Loss. What Could Be Done?

I am dealing with anxiety and have tried several SSRI.. None of them have helped. infact Snri made the anxiety worse. I am taking Klonopin 1mg daily and do not want to take it. But I don't know what to do. I have tried remeron, celexa, Prozac and paxil. I am currently on Lexapro increased 6 days ago to 7.5mg. I have also been experiencing hair loss. Which is due to who knows what. I am afraid that all of these medications are making the hair loss worse and do not want to become addicted to benzo's. Paxil was terrible to come off of and I just don't know what to do.

Hello
Welcome to HCM

SSRIs are nice anti anxiety and anti depressant drugs. If an individual fail to respond to one SSRI he may respond to other SSRI even mechanism of action and efficacy of all drugs are same. You have just started Lexapro and its dose of 7.5 mg is only moderate dose, wait for at least 6 weeks to see its effect.
SSRIs are not known to cause hair loss. You are taking benzodiazepine clonazepam and I would advise you to take it on SOS basis only. Don't take this drug for long term basis as you will become dependent on this drug.

Apart from medicines try other non medicinal methods like Relaxation therapy as Progressive muscle relaxation or deep breathing exercises. Attend behavior therapy sessions for quick relief.

Hope it helps you, thanks
