Suffering From Back Pain, Spinal Stenosis, Desk Den. MRI Done. What Does The Result Indicate?

I have a lot of back problems I'm a dwarf I have spinal stenosis and desk den . Im 33 i had back surgery at 15 . i have low back pain leg numbness and pain .I had a current MRI . Can you help me understand what the report says ? I'm seeing a neuro surgeon in July . Here is what it said on the report .
The vertebral body marrow signal was within normal limits. There is mild disc desiccation seen at L3-L4 and L1-L2 . The conus medullaris is in normal location . This patient has had previous remote lumbar laminectomy.
There is diffuse fact hypertrophic change identified. There is diffuse, significant lumbar canal stenosis present .this extends throughout the lumbar spinal canal . There was no evidence of para vertebral soft tissue mass . Incidental note is made of an extrarenal pelvis on the right .
Impression: Significant,Diffuse,Central canal stenosis . This leads to lateral recess and foraminal narrowing . At the L2-L3 leval posterior osteophyte formation further compromises the thecal sac on the left .

Hello,
Let us review your MRI report in simple language.
1. The vertebral body marrow signal was within normal limits: Means bone marrow of the spine is normal.
2. There is mild disc dessication seen at L3-L4 and L1-L2: There is decreased watr content in disc at L3 L4 and L2 L2 levels.
3. The conus medullaris is in normal location: Normal finding.
4. This patient has had previous remote lumbar laminectomy: Note made of previous surgery.
5. There is diffuse fact hypertrophic change identified. There is diffuse, significant lumbar canal stenosis present .this extends throughout the lumbar spinal canal: The lumbar canal is decreased in diameter throughout its length.
6. There was no evidence of para vertebral soft tissue mass: Normal finding.
7. Incidental note is made of an extrarenal pelvis on the right: Normal variation seen in right kidney.

8. Impression: Significant,Diffuse,Central canal stenosis . This leads to lateral recess and foraminal narrowing . At the L2-L3 leval posterior osteophyte formation further compromises the thecal sac on the left: There is decrease in diameter of spinal canal as described above with exiting nerve foramen narrowing. At L2 L3 level, there is small bony outgrowth causing minimal pressure on the lower part of the spinal cord.

Hope this helps.
