Suffering From Chicken Pox, Scabs On Face And Body, Scars. Applying Mederma Ointment. Healing Time?

I had chicken pox three weeks back, I am 49 years old, all the scabs on my face and body has almost gone and have no itching, I am applying mederma ointment, vitamin e oil and applying sandalwood paste for my scars, is it ok for lighting the scars and how long will it take for the whole scars to go. Please reply doctor.
