HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
The
bed wetting can be related to either the
diabetes or
parkinson disease. Diabetes can cause damage to different nerves such as the nerves involved in bladder control.
Parkinsons can also result in this symptoms.
You may want to consider any of the following to reduce the instances of bed wetting : (1) the use of adult pampers (2) a bed side commode so that he does not have to go far to use the bathroom (3) reducing evening fluid intake (4) emptying the bladder immediately before going to bed
In terms of the frequent falling you can consider (1)
exercise therapy which is thought to improve gait and balance
(2) removing any loose wires or cords, either removing any rugs or ensuring that they are anchored and smooth
(3)making sure that there is good lighting in his home
(4)grab bars in the bathroom and non slip mats
(5)advise him to move slowing and make wide turns instead of sharp turns when moving
I hope this helps
