Suffering From Fits, Stiffness, Unable To Speak, Vomiting Episode, Absent-mindedness. EEG Abnormal. Treatment?
my daughter who is 11yr old she had two fits in this month in which she got stiff she was unable to speak then she hast a bid vomitting of white substance than she was back two normal a year ago she became absent mind she was unable to reconnize any one what gone wrong with her ,her mri is normal but there is complication in eeg pls explain

Before i answer your question i will like to tell you tell you that there are various types of epilepsy and the treatment depends upon the type of epilepsy. The classification of epilepsy can be done by the clinical evaluation, EEG, MRI and/or genetic/other blood tests. The abnormality in the EEG should be analyzed and classified. In some epilepsy, MRI & EEG will be abnormal, in some only EEG will be abnormal. Some patients with epilepsy both EEG and MRI can be normal and the doctor depends upon the clinical history to diagnose and treat the condition
Back to you, one thing that is clear that your daughter has epilepsy and she needs the treatment. There are so many drugs available. In order to select an appropriate medicine, one depend upon the clinical data and the EEG data. In the absence of this appropriate drug selection will be difficult
With the limited information that you have provided, Valproate sodium could be an option.
