Suffering From Nodule Acne. On Isotretonoin. Can Isotretonoin Be Repeated? Will It Cause Lipid To Increase?
Hello doctor, im 25 ur old male .I have this one particular query which ive not been able to find an accurate answers for
I had been suffering from nodule acne with scarring from past 5 years .right now my age is 25 years .i was prescribed isotretonoin for about 3 months after which my condition improved greatly .i had no acne for about a month and then suddenly there is a outburst again after a month and im tempted to follow the isotretinoin medication .i have some questions
1 should isotretenoin be repeated again for the same problem
2 does isotretenoin cause lipid increase as my lipid profile has shooted up extensively which was normal 3 months ago
3 have heard isotretenoin causes severe damage to female during pregnancy. What effects does it have for male regarding reproduction part as im going to get married in two months .silly question but im concerned as there is no right side effects for male .
4 what happens if i continue isotretenoin and microdermaabression or lazer at the same time ? Will it cause a side effect

1 should isotretenoin be repeated again for the same problem.
Yes you can repeat. But dont discontinue and start more often This may lead to more outbreak.
2 does isotretenoin cause lipid increase as my lipid profile has shooted up extensively which was normal 3 months ago.
It can increase TG level and reduce HDL. But Topical Isotretinoin will not cause lipid profile abnormality extensively. This may be due to other cause.
3 have heard isotretenoin causes severe damage to female during pregnancy. What effects does it have for male regarding reproduction part as im going to get married in two months .silly question but im concerned as there is no right side effects for male .
No problem in male. But cause teratogenicity if taken during pregnancy by female.

You cant take all the available drugs at a time. We have to go like a ladder. Follow only your dermatologist advice.
As such Acne occurs due to hormonal changes and will disappear once the skin get adjusted to it. So practice daily 5-8 times washing with oil remover soap in cool water. Dont press or handle acne. Follow your doctor advice.
