Suffering From Ringworm Infection. Prescribed Ketoconazole, Applied, No Change. How Long Should I Continue?
I have multiple pink to brown spots on me from 1" diameter and smaller. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with ringworm. I was perscribed Ketoconazole and told to apply for 2 weeks, twice daily. I have follwed that for 3 weeks now with zero change. My question is how long should continue this course before going back to the doctor and saying it didnt work ?
Hello, thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum
Frankly I would like to say that as you described in your query that multiple pink spots 1 inch or less are not a fungal infection.
2 ndly my opinion based over your treatment as you have taken treatment for fungal infection for three weeks and no improvement i.e. no fungal infection.
Please get in blood examination for eiosinophils count as this may be some type of rashes.
Physical examination by a doctor will confirm the diagnosis.
Good luck Dr. HET
