Suffering From Seizures, Head Injury. MRI Scan Of Brain Shows Sub-cortical Epilepsy. Treatment?
Dear Doctor, My daughter XXXXX ,32 years old, she got seizures ( unconscious) after colliding her head with her brothers head while playing at the age two and half years. One neurologist said that she is suffering from subcortical epilepsy after examining her eeg and mri scan of brain . he prescribed medicines but no use.
Epilepsy is a treatable disease, when one uses the correct medications.
One has to determine the type of epilepsy, as the choice of medicine depends on that. This can be done on the basis of description of epileptic attack, EEG and MRI Bain findings.
Your neurologist would be able to start your daughter on the appropriate medications.
Best wishes,
