Suffering From Tuberous Sclerosis. MRI Done. Suggestions?
Dear Sir,
I would like to show my Son’s treatment papers & would like to seek your advice for fast relief & betterment.
Problem :: tuberous sclerosis By Burth 1) Sudden Shock(Seizures) in Body ( Now it is ok) Age 21 Months 2) Lost Social Smile (IN MRI Report -- Multiple calcified & non Calcified subependymal nodules alnog bilateral ventricles & Multiple hyperintensities in subcortical white matter with thickening of overlying cortex in bilateral frontoparietal and occipital and left temporal lobes - likely tubers)
Sorry to know that your son is suffering from Tuberous sclerosis. There is no specific treatment for Tuberous Sclerosis. Treatment depends upon symptoms and it varies from patient to patient. Child need help from group of professionals like psychologist, neurologist, cardiologist etc. Some of the patients need antiepileptic drugs due to seizures. Some need laser therapy for skin lesions. Brain tubers can be treated with medicines whereas kidney tumour need surgery. Get well soon.
Take care Dr.Indu Bhushan
