Suffering From Vomiting, Diarrhoea And Fever. Is These Stomach Flu Symptoms?

My daughter was throwing up on Saturday night, was a little tired and weak yesterday, but had stopped vomiting . Today she has a fever of about 100-101 and she threw up once more, as well as had diarrhea , and she feels dizzy when she gets up. Do you think she needs immediate attention, or are these stomach flu symptoms?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thank you for your query.

I am sorry to know that your daughter is suffering a lot.
There is a chance of viral infection.
But other infection should be considered also.
Bacterial gastroenteritis is another possibility.
Give her oral re hydration salt for dehydration & paracetamol for increased temperature.
I think it will be OK within 2-3 days if it is not complicated.
If the temperature continue to rise then the enteric fever should be excluded.

I think I have been some help of your query.
Take care.
