Suffers From Colic. Unsettled And Sticking Tongue. Uncomfortable With The Bottle And Dummy. What Should I Do?
Baby 5 weeks old. Healthy baby feeds well etc. Suffers from colic here and there but we changed bottles and got colic drops and that has eased. Tonight though she didn't take well at her 7 feed she just took 2 and a bit ounces. It was the same with the 10 oc feed but she got sick. She kept sticking her tongue out and was uncomfortable with the bottle and dummy. She was very unsettled and took a While for Her To Settle. Now again at the half 12 feed she has only taken over 2 ounces and is unsettled and sticking tongue out Like she Wants to get sick. It might be nothing but can you confirm. Should I be worried.
hi ! the problem that your kid is facing is either due to aerophagia or infection. aerophagia is basically air swallowed by a kid while feeding or crying especially bottle fed kid which in turn distends the intestines & cause colicky pain. keep your kid in upright position & pat on her back so that she burps which will relieve him of his colicky pain( can also give a repeat dose of colic drops) . if vomiting persists you need to show her to a pediatrician to rule out any gastrointestinal infection. take care
