Suggest An Alternate Medicine For BP That Would Have Lesser Side Effects

Have recently had several changes in bp medications. Currently taking lisinopril 40mg in the am and bystolic 20mg at night. I also take 40mg lasix in the am. Still have some ankle swelling. I am looking for the right combination of bp medication that will not cause wheezing, swelling of my legs, tiredness, and headaches. I have tried benecar, amlodipine, co-reg, plendyl, and hydralazine. Right now, I still haven t found the right combination of medications that will keep my pressure low. The use of amlodipine worked with some of the other bp medication but caused severe ankle and leg swelling. The original reason for the original change was due to wheezing. I am at the point where I feel wheezing is better than the side effects of the other drugs is not worth it, at least I could function,

Your main problem according to you is the side effects of various drugs ( anti hypertensive drugs ) as amlopidine , lisinopril , bystolic, benecar hydralazine and above all lasix ( antidiuretc ) . The symptoms are wheezing, ankle swelling , tiredness & headache.
I want to make a clear that ankle swelling is not due to antihypertensive drugs ( above all you are also taking lasix. So wheezing , tiredness and headache may be the side effect of these drugs but we can't rule out other possibilities for these symptoms , these includes.
1 Congestive heart failure , as all these symptoms are an indication of C H F . So get in E K G & ECHOCARDIOGRAM to rule out heart involvement.
2 As you are old hypertensive patient so get in blood examination for serum creatinine level as well ultrasound of both kidneys . Because in hypertensive patient kidneys are prone to chronic renal failure .
3 You mentioned that there is headache , tiredness and swelling over legs , may be due to anemia . This is most common cause in such patient .
In my opinion consult a CARDIOLOGIST and get his opinion as mentioned above.
