Suggest Cause For Cyst Like Inflammation In The Elbow
My daughter has had tennis elbow for about 4 weeks. She saw her family physician last week for the pain and referred to an orthopedist whom when saw today. He saw a cyst on her elbow, but said it likely is due to the tennis elbow inflammation. My question is,,, should I be worried about this cyst? He also said that if it isn t better in a week, he wants to do an MRI.

You need mot worry.
Cyst can happen due to inflammation of a bursa,and usually comes down with simple anti-inflammatory drugs for 5-7 days,along with adequate local rest.Only if it persists,we need further evaluation.Your doctor is 100% correct.
