Suggest Cause For Fluid In Pelvis With Swollen Abdomen & Cyst In Ovary

I have trace free fluid in my pelvic region and a 2x5 by 3x5 cyst on my right ovary. My abdomen has been swollen for 4 days and I have sharp pain that comes and goes. I have also had a c-section. Is this pain coming from the cyst or could it be from something else? Could this trace free fuild pose a risk for me?

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Traces of free fluid is not a problem. It will be there normally. Pain could be due to ovarian cyst also. Just go with pain killers for two days. If the pain is associated with vomiting and giddiness, it could be due to torsion of the ovary. Thus, it needs emergency attention. As for now, take pain killers for two days and see.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
