Suggest Cause For Very Hard Bump On The Back Of The Throat

Hi, I have discovered a very hard lump at the back of my throat, just in the middle, behind uvula - feels like bony protrusion. It does not hurt when I press on it but last few weeks I am more aware of it. Some days I feel it is irritated and feels bigger (swollen?) Could it be part of my neck spine bulging out?

Hello

yes it is possible that a part of your spine is projecting out and . These projections are called osteophytes and are basically bony protrusions from the spine. These dont need any treatment , however if you are having difficulty in swallowing , then you may need to get them surgically removed.

Thanks
