Suggest Dosage And Duration Of Pioglit MF15 Tablet
I was diagnosed for diabetes mellitus 7 months back and the sugar level was 520 mg/l. doctor advised to take insulin HUMINSULIN 36 units / day and within 4 months i could control my diet and lifestyle. after seeing the improvement, doctor prescribed for TAB PIOGLIT MF15. Now my sugar levels are under control. FBSL 90 and PPBSL 110. whether i can reduce the tab to half the amount and how long i have to take the tab

welcome to hcm, it is fine to hear from you that you have reduced your sugar levels with exercise medications and food control PIOGLIT MF contains pioglitasone and metformin pioglitasone on long term use have many side effects also if i were your treating physician i would advice you to have metformin alone tablets twice daily with your regular exercises and diet control i want you to repeat the blood sugar levels after a week to asses the tablets efficacy. i would also like to check your HBA1c result (3 months average blood sugar levels assesment) every year. hope this explains feel free to have any followup queries with regards Dr.Amarnath
