Suggest Dosage Of Expectorant Guifinesin For Painful Cough
I have had a very painful cough for 1 day now. I have no other cold symptoms. The only medication that ever works for me is the expectorant guifinesin. My last dossage of 400 mg was about 5 hours ago and it has worn off. Is it ok to take another dosage yet?

Dosage of Guaifenesin expectorant is 200 to 400 mg orally every 4 hours as needed, not to exceed 2.4 g/day.
