Suggest Me A Treatment For Bloated Stomach, Gas And Diarrhoea With Blood And Ultrasounds Normal?

Hi I ve been experiencing bloated stomach, lots of gas, some pain and sometimes diarrhoea only after eating lunch. My lunch differs every day but usually light salads, chicken, soups. Ultrasounds and bloods are normal. What more can I do? Doctor suggested FODMAP but Im more worried about cancers? Thanks SP

Hi,

Noted the history of bloated stomach, gas and diarrhea with blood, ultrasound is normal, all happening only after lunch, notes the foods and beverages you take. You are worried about cancers. Although the symptoms appearing more so after food, the diarrhea with blood is definitely indicative of an intestinal infection.

I would advise you the following: Get the stool tested as well as that of blood and urine. Ultrasonography. Course of an antibiotic, metronidazole and probiotics should help you to tide over the emergency and gives time for CT scan of the abdomen and colonoscopy as required. Identify the foods and beverages that cause more problems and stop them altogether.
